One shot, one opportunity, twenty publications
Pr campaign
As indicated by the word ‘relations’, pr is a long-term game. Yet, in the game of pr, hard news remains king. That’s why we were happy to help out Belgian medtech start-up Cascador Health when they approached us for this one-off pr campaign. The goal: generating maximum media exposure on their latest funding round and acquisition.
A unique platform for the secure exchange of European health data
Following the sale of Be-Mobile to Proximus, co-founder and co-CEO Philip Taillieu launched a new (ad)venture by creating Cascador Health: a unique platform enabling the secure disclosure and consultation of medical data by third parties in order to leverage their full potential.
Indeed, healthcare providers and institutions such as hospitals dispose of enormous amounts of datasets, with valuable information from patient records, hospital laboratories, pharmacy and billing data. All these medical data constitute an important source of knowledge, for example for the development of new medicines, and to improve the quality and performance of healthcare overall. However, due to a number of practical barriers, such as compliance, this potential remains largely unused. To overcome these obstacles and unlock the full potential of our collective health data, Cascador Health developed a unique platform that makes it possible for third parties to consult and valorize medical data in a privacy-compliant, secure and transparent manner.
With a view to further validating the platform and continuing the company’s European expansion, Cascador recently completed an important funding round, while also acquiring CORTS AG, a similar Swiss player. In doing so, the start-up confirmed its position as a European pioneer in the field, which is set to receive a major boost once the European Health Data Space becomes reality.
An effective pr campaign to put Cascador on the map
The objective for Evoke was clear: introducing Cascador Health and their mission to the Belgian public, while also spreading the news on their funding round and acquisition. The way to do so? Generating maximum exposure, from the main economic and financial outlets in the country to large-audience media and specialized medical press.
Result: twenty publications, in Belgium and beyond
Through an expertly written press release and tailored pitching towards a variety of relevant media, we were able to secure no less than 20 publications, including a string of Tier 1 publications such as L’Echo, La Libre Belgique, Trends, MediQuality and tech.eu.
Cherry on the cake: in the aftermath of our press round, major EU outlets Politico and Science Business also reached out to us for comment on the European Health Data Space. Mission more than accomplished!
