MyPitch scores big
Product and start-up launch
A good start is half the battle. So when start-up MyPitch was ready to launch its football community app, it aimed to score big, both on the field and in the press. MyPitch collects personal and club statistics during football games via its smart 180° camera to give players and coaches insights into their performance. Just like in the well-known sports app Strava, MyPitch users can monitor their achievements as well as follow their friends – or even competitors.
Convince relevant media
In the opening weekend of the regional football season MyPitch released its app via a well-crafted press release accompanied by high-quality photos. We did not stop there and got in contact with our media network to set up more in-depth interviews and video reports.
Results
The results were overwhelming: ranging from a full-page article in the weekend edition of national newspaper Het Nieuwsblad, an online news article online on VRT NWS to a radio interview on Radio 2, video reports on VTM and Focus WTV, interviews in regional newspaper Krant van West-Vlaanderen as well as in business and trade press such as Trends and Data News.
“We could not have wished for a better start. We got media attention from every corner, which proved to be the perfect assist to score new players and clubs who joined MyPitch. Moreover, we got into contact with interesting partners to further improve our app and scale our community to other parts of the country and even abroad,” says Jim Bogaert, managing director of MyPitch.
