Medical imaging technology inauguration at ORSI Academy

Press conference

Since its founding in 2010, the ORSI Academy in Melle has become a globally renowned center of expertise around robotic surgery. As an open and inclusive ecosystem, the ORSI Academy provides a platform for the safe and effective implementation of new technologies in medical practice. It aims to further advance the quality and safety of modern healthcare. ORSI Academy facilitates on-site training for and by companies so that clinicians can optimally use robots during procedures. To further expand the training program, it invested in all-new medical imaging technology from Siemens Healthineers, the market leader in medical imaging technology. The investment was supported by the European Regional Development Fund, made available by VLAIO. The new equipment now allows ORSI Academy to expand its offerings and facilitate training in other clinical disciplines such as cardiology, vascular surgery, interventional radiology and orthopedics, by combining the potential of robotic chirurgy with the power of medical imaging. In doing so, ORSI Academy confirms its continuous contribution to improving and enhancing the quality and safety of our modern healthcare system.

Pushing innovation With the official inauguration fast approaching in March 2023, Siemens Healthineers counted on Evoke to generate media interest, as this partnership truly showcases how both the market leader in medical imaging technology and ORSI Academy are pushing innovation at the very pinnacle of the healthcare industry, to further improve patient care.

In the lead-up to the event, we reached out to trade and business media to witness the possibilities of the new cluster, first-hand at the ORSI Academy. We gave camera-journalists the possibility to interview professor and urologist Alex Mottrie, an absolute pioneer in the field. Three TV channels took this opportunity, which is no coincidence as the inauguration of the medical imaging technology is a prime example of news value that is best conveyed visually.

The same day we distributed a press release, which was picked up nationwide in both business such as Trends, Het Laatste Nieuws, as well as top-tier healthcare outlets ‘De Specialist’ and ‘Artsenkrant’. With about twenty clippings in print and online media the PR campaign was a major success.
